NPL YOUTH COACHING ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Rockdale City Suns FC are pleased to announce our 2017 NPL Youth League coaches line-up, headlined by former Sydney FC rising star Kiki Naumoff, who’ll be kick-starting his coaching career at the Rockdale City Suns:

 

U13s – Robert Geroski
Rob has been coaching young footballers for many years.  Having played for RCSFC for all of his junior and senior football, studies unfortunately took him away from the game at a crucial point.

Following this Rob played locally for one of our sister clubs [Scots FC] and began his coaching career with young footballers. Rob spent some time heading up the Metro League for the St.George Football Association before moving back to the club where it all started.

Rob Has been involved in our SAP for the past 4 years mentoring and guiding our young players.  He additionally was involved with our Youth 15’s last season and looks forward to the challenge.

 

U14s – Jonathen Vilas
As a football coach Jonathen possesses expertise in all training areas, from physiology to motor skills. Jonathen has been coaching & running football programs at youth level in Spain prior to arriving in Australia in 2015.  He looks forward in working with our young players and sharing his knowledge with them.

 

U15s – Christopher “KIKI” Naumoff
Naumoff joined Sydney FC’s youth team from New South Wales Premier League outfit Sutherland Sharks in 2011 after winning the Under 20’s Championship and being crowned the Under 20’s Premier League Player of the Year 2012. Having had a strong pre-season under Frank Farina where he scored 5 goals, Naumoff was handed his senior debut at home to the Newcastle Jets in Round 1 of the 2013-14 season where Sydney FC won 2-0.

On 16 June 2016, Naumoff agreed to a three-year deal with Spanish Segunda División side Numancia.  After a medical examination and further testing, Naumoff was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). On the 4th of July 2016, he announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 21 for health reasons but stated his wish to stay involved in the game.

KIKI is proud to share his experiences and mentor our young footballers for the 2017 season and beyond.  He is a dedicated footballer that knows what it takes to play at the highest level.

 

U16s – Navid Abdi
Navid Abdi played professional football in Iran, starting his football career with the Bahman(Peykan) youth team.  He then moved to New Zealand with his family played for Central United.  Moving back to Iran to continue his football career with Pass Tehran, Steel Azin, & Sepahan Nouvin.

Navid then began his coaching career at the senior level with Steel Azin where he was able to steer the teams to champion status. The last few years he was assisting at Nassaji Mazandaran FC as the Assistant Coach & Strength and Conditioning Trainer.

Navid is a UEFA qualified coach and additionally has Bachelor Degrees in Physical Education and Sports Science.

 

Goalkeeper Coach – Bobi Vajdevski

Former semi-professional Goalkeeper for various clubs, including Rockdale Ilinden Junior & youth teams, Dulwich Hill Madeira in the NSW State League 1st Division. Bobi has also coached both senior and youth football at other NSW clubs before coming back to Rockdale City Suns FC.

In the early 1990’s Bobi was chosen to play in the State side.

Bobi’s passion and commitment to help and educate young, up-coming goalkeepers is his long term goal. He also assist senior Goalkeepers in the strength & conditioning side of the game. Bobi has a natural ability to communicate with players from all age groups and understands what it takes to become a successful goalkeeper, playing at an elite level. Working with each Keeper as an individual, his aim is to develop the players’ physical fitness, technique and mental state to be the best they can be. Currently coaching SAP & Youth Goalkeepers from U11 – U16.
