LEADER CUP – NPL ROUND 8 – SUTHERLAND SHARKS v ROCKDALE CITY SUNS

We Travel to Seymour Shaw Stadium in Miranda this Saturday night to take on our local rivals, Sutherland Sharks, in Round 9 of the NPL NSW Season.

This match doubles as the first leg of the Leader Cup, a Cup supported and sponsors by our great friends at the St George & Sutherland Shire Leader Newspaper. While we have held the trophy for the last few seasons, we lost it last season after a disastrous first leg of the Cup where we were beaten 6-2. We went on to win the 2nd leg 3 Nil, and ended up losing the Cup 6-5 on aggregate.

With the disappointment fresh in the mind of our players, our boys are pumped and ready to go. Our 2 Clubs occupy different areas of the table at the moment, Rockdale in 3rd and Sutherland in last place, but when a derby comes up, form goes out the window and whoever wants it most will end up on top on the night.
